Helping Hands Ministry

Our mission is to provide

emergency material assistance, referrals,
and / or supportive ministry
to persons in emergency need
in collaboration with
local agencies and faith communities
in Linn County.

We recognize that, to be healthy and whole,
all of the basic needs of the client must be met,
including: physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual.

Services

HHM serves people with limited material assistance on an emergency basis, helping with rent, utilities, and / or supportive services and advocacy. Our staff and volunteers help the client to prioritize needs and work with community agencies and funding sources to meet those needs. Our staff offers someone to talk to; someone to share concerns with; someone to encourage reaching goals and then rejoice in those accomplishments.

Eligibility

Anyone living in Linn County in need of emergency help is eligible to apply. There is no charge. Our services are not restricted based on race, gender, income level, religion or creed! If your family needs assistance, we encourage you to call us and setup an appointment for an interview.

Location and Hours

The HHM office is in the Ecumenical Community Center,
at the corner of Sixth Street and Second Avenue SOUTHEAST
The HHM entrance is on Second Avenue
Our office is open 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
Appointments are required.
